Frequently asked questions

Can I use my NDIS plan to pay?
Yes. We're an NDIS registered provider. Classes are typically claimed under 0116 Innovative Community Participation and 0120 Household Tasks. Plan-managed and self-managed participants are welcome — agency-managed too.
How much does a class cost?
$200 per 4-hour session — $150 (0116 Innovative Community Participation) plus $50 (0120 Household Tasks). All ingredients and resources are included.
What if I have allergies or dietary needs?
Absolutely no problem. Let us know on the Dietary & Allergy Declaration form and we'll plan recipes that work for you — gluten free, vegetarian, etc.
Can a carer or support worker come along?
Yes — carers and support workers are very welcome to stay and assist. There's no extra charge for a carer attending.
What should I bring?
Just yourself! We supply all ingredients, aprons and equipment. Closed-in shoes are a good idea, and hair tied back if it's long.
How do I book or ask a question?
Call Yvonne or Raelene on 0494 312 137, or email myabilitykitchen@gmail.com. We're happy to chat through your plan first.
What's the cancellation policy?
More than 7 days notice — no charge. 2–7 days — up to 50% of the session fee. Less than 2 business days — up to 100% may be charged, in line with NDIS rules.
